Kickoff our brand new season with a one-hour Sunday Matinée Concert. Enjoy 20 minutes each from a variety of artists. We begin with local young virtuoso Josiah Armes at the pipe organ. Then the acclaimed violinist Matitiahu Braun plays music of Fritz Kreisler and other enjoyable favorites. Finally, hear the Orlando Brass Quintet with organist Ben Lane. Commemorating Veterans Day this week, our Sunday Matinée features beloved songs of patriotism, honor, and sacrifice. Jon Territo conducts the Orlando Concert Band with Ben Lane at the pipe organ and a choir of over 200 singers from Saint Luke’s Cathedral, Saint James Catholic Cathedral, All Saints Episcopal Church in Winter Park, Lake Brantley High School, and Colonial High School. One of Orlando’s favorite holiday performances! This joyful service is based on the famous annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols form King’s College, Cambridge UK. Ben Lane conducts the Orlando Deanery Boychoir, Girls Choir, and men in choral works from around the world, plus traditional Christmas carols for everyone! CHORAL EVENSONG
The Orlando Deanery Boychoir, Girls Choir, Men, and former choir members all combine to present their annual Homecoming Evensong, a traditional Anglican service of evening worship. On this festive Trinity Sunday, we will feature choral music by several prominent British musicians and some of Central Florida’s finest composers. Including prelude music, scripture readings, prayers, hymn-singing, an awards ceremony, and a gala reception.
