Stephen Dass, missionary to the streets of Sao Paolo, Brazil, began his report at the diocese’s annual convention in January by naming all the street children he has met. The list continued for several minutes. “These children have been forgotten by their parents,” Dass explained. “I wanted to make sure to speak their names, to make sure we don’t forget them.”
Stephen and his wife, Mary Dass, run a ministry for kids who live on the streets of São Paulo, Brazil. They share God’s love for them. They share their love with them. Watch for more stories from the streets in the print editions of the Central Florida Episcopalian.
Stephen closed by asking the church to pray for the children daily. Life is not easy on the streets, but for most of these kids, it is better than living at home.
