A post-service breakfast, ordination, and Sunday School bonfire and pool party will kick off a busy September event season at St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Winter Park.

The fun begins on Friday, Sept. 8, when St. Richard’s kicks off its Sunday School events. A youth group/Sunday School bonfire for middle and high school students will be held at 8 p.m. on church property.

Then, on Saturday, Sept. 9, a children’s Sunday School pool party for kindergartners through fifth graders and parents at the rectory will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. The event serves as a pre-event celebration of Sunday School that officially begins Sunday, Sept. 10.

Also on Sept. 9, at 11 a.m., Rich Wilson will be ordained a vocational deacon at The Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando. Prayers and your presence are needed.

St. Richard’s parishioners interested in attending should call the church office at 407-671-4211. Church officials are creating a unique St. Richard’s ID for attendees and require a head count. Those parishioners wishing to carpool to the ordination are asked to meet at the church at 9:30 a.m.
