St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church – TitusvilleMarch 9, 2021

Titusville is “The Gateway to Nature and Space”, and while we cherish our history, we are also immersed in a high technology community with its eyes on spaceflight. Many of our congregation are involved in these endeavors. Our school system reflects this in its outstanding programs. We are also surrounded by protected wildlife areas on the banks of the Indian River Lagoon and pristine beaches of the Canaveral National Seashore, which offer many opportunities for outdoor recreation in our mild climate.

Nestled in historic downtown Titusville is St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, one of Florida’s treasured Carpenter Gothic churches. St Gabriel’s has continuously served as a house of worship for the community since the first service on May 31, 1888. Upon entering the sanctuary, one immediately senses the Holy Spirit and is inspired by the Victorian stained-glass windows, one of the finest collections on the east coast. The warmth of the interior is outwardly demonstrated by our welcoming congregation. We are eager to embark on a spiritual renaissance with a new rector. Our congregation has a passion for God’s mission, empowered by prayer. We are moved to action showing perseverance during times of challenge. We believe God will guide our decisions and will call the right person to serve our community of faith.
