Committee on Nominations & Elections is receiving Nominations of Candidates for election to office.

 Below is an updated list of the offices to be filled. A Nomination Form is on            the  website.

[When suggesting someone’s name for nomination, it is with the                  understanding that     the nominee has consented to serve in the office if elected. Clergy and lay  candidates may submit their own names for nomination.]

Nominations should include:
              A short resume (250 words or less) about the nominee, be published in the                Pre-Convention issue of the Central Florida Episcopalian. Your resume                      should include
             Qualifications in seeking the office
             A photograph
             Whatever else you want us all to know about you
The Committee reserves the right to edit any resume of undue length.

Nominees will appear in the Central Florida Episcopalian in the order in which the Committee receives them. Nominees will be placed on the ballot in alphabetical order. Nominations must be received no later than Monday, December 1, 2014 to receive consideration for publication prior to Convention and to have the nominee’s name printed on the ballot.

Offices to be filled -

             Standing Committee:
One clergy person to be elected to a 4 year term
One lay person to be elected to a 3 year term

            Diocesan Board
One clergy person to be elected to a 3 year term
Two lay persons to be elected to a 3 year term
One lay person to be elected to a 1-year term

            Trustee, University of the South
One lay person to be elected to a 3 year term

Proposed Amendments to the Constitution & Canons –November 24
Proposed Resolutions – cut-off date is December 10
      Certificates of election names of delegates from parishes/missions –January 13

Saturday, January 3  –  Northeast Deanery 10 a.m.  –   St. Jude’s, Orange City

Sunday, January 4  –  Northwest Deanery 4 p.m.  –  St. Margaret’s, Inverness

Thursday, January 8  –  Central Deanery 7 p.m.  –  Ascension, Orlando

Saturday, January 10  –  Southwest Deanery 10 a.m.  –   St. Paul’s, Winter Haven

Sunday, January 11  –  Southeast Deanery 4 p.m.  –  St. Elizabeth, Sebastian

 Any delegate who is unable to attend the meeting in his/her deanery, is welcome to attend another deanery meeting.
