House of Hope Orlando celebrates 30 years of healing teens

Alumni and Invited guests to gather at Rosen Centre to Mark the Occasion

ORLANDO, FL (January 27, 2015) –  Three decades of helping troubled teens find their way back from the brink of destruction and despair will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7th as House of Hope Orlando commemorates its 30thanniversary at its annual Humanitarian Award Dinner.  The milestone anniversary will be marked with an auction and gala at the Rosen Centre Hotel on International Drive, 9840 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819, and beginning at5:30 p.m.

The event will honor those who have served troubled teens and families in the community and helped them get back on the right track through a Christian-based residential program. WFTV/Channel 9 anchors Martie Salt and Bob Opsahl will serve as hosts for this 30th anniversary party.   Over five hundred people joined in last year’s celebration and this year looks to be even bigger.  Former Humanitarian Award recipients include President Ronald Reagan, Senator Mel Martinez, Governor Jeb Bush, Dr. Bill Bright, and many more.

“When House of Hope Orlando began I knew my mission was to help young people who had lost their way,” said Sara E. Trollinger, Founder and President of House of Hope Orlando. “With God’s help we have made a positive impact on many lives and we hope to continue to do so for another 30 years, if not longer.”

House of Hope Orlando was started with just $200 and the prayers of five people. Today it has served more than 1200 teens and their families.
