Campers enjoy the outdoor activities at a summer camp session at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lake Mary.

There will be no “lazy days of summer” at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church when school lets out in late May – thanks to MaxLife Summer Camps and KidsGames.

The parish at 700 Rinehart Road in Lake Mary announced that registration is underway for the 2019 MaxLife Summer Camps, to be held June 3-21. The summer camps will be split up into three sessions, with each running one week.

Starting things off is a high school leadership camp from June 3-7. Open to incoming ninth-graders to graduating seniors for the 2020 class, the camp will run daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $150.

Camps are designed to build up leaders, with organizers investing time in each participant through various programs. Campers will learn the importance of values, character and behavior.

A middle school Alpha & Omega camp follows from June 10-14. The camp is open to rising sixth- through eighth-graders. Camp will run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Campers can be dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m. and picked up no later than 6 p.m. Cost is $140.

A third- through fifth-grade Alpha & Omega camp will be held from June 17-21. The camp runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campers can be dropped off starting at 7 a.m. and must be picked up by 6:30 p.m.

St. Peter’s also will hold day camps from May 28-31, June 24-July 12, and July 22-Aug. 9. The camps offer fun and learning activities, with the goal of helping each child become who they are destined to be through friendship building, character development and creativity in a safe and positive environment. Each camp will have a theme to correspond with the planned activities.

Camps for kids who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1 through sixth-grade will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parents can choose between full- or half-day sessions, with the latter running from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick-up for half-day campers will be from 1:30-2 p.m. St. Peter’s will open at 7 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m.

Cost for a full week (three days or more) is $130; half-day full week (three days or more), $95; two full days, $95; two half days, $70; one full day, $50; and one half day, $40. Discounts are available for multiple children from the same family, and for those families who register their children for three or more camps at one time. Spots can be secured with a 10-percent down payment.

Weekly camp themes will run with a Summer Mishmash Camp on May 28-31. Campers will participate in fun activities and games.

A Disney Magic Camp will be held June 24-28. The camp will feature multiple Disney themes. A Holiday Extravaganza Camp will run from July 1-5, with no camp on July 4 because of the national holiday. Youth will enjoy a different holiday on each day of camp.

A DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Camp will run from July 8-12. Campers will have fun with cardboard wars, paint wars, crafts and more. The Renaissance Camp will run from July 22-26. Youth will get to experience adventure, action, mystery, art and more.

A Video Game Camp will run from July 29-Aug. 2. This camp allows youth to become involved in the games they play as they come to life.

A Swinter Olympics Camp will be held Aug. 5-9. Campers get to experience the hot Florida summer through Winter Olympics events, participating in various activities that test teamwork and more.
