Some of the Diocese of Central Florida’s finest singers will be raising their voices for the Lord next month at Church of the Holy Child in Ormond Beach.
Amazed by Grace, a 10-member band that includes members from the Northeast Deanery, will sing Christian music in an evening of joy Saturday, Nov. 3, at Holy Child, 1225 W. Granada Blvd. (SR 40), Ormond Beach. The concert, which is free and open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m.
“They’re pretty good,” said Michael DeLong, member of Holy Child’s Men’s Ministry. “The two ladies in the band harmonize really well. They play a little bit of everything.”
A barbecue dinner will precede the event at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 5 and under). Dinner includes barbecue pork sandwiches, cole slaw, baked beans, drink and a dessert. A child’s portion includes a barbecue pork sandwich, macaroni and cheese, or a hot dog.
Proceeds from the event go to Holy Child’s Men’s Ministry and the Christian Resource Team.
Interested persons are asked to please RSVP for dinner by Thursday, Nov. 1, because the church’s seating area has a capacity of about 120, according to DeLong. To RSVP, call DeLong at 386-795-0442; Cathleen Hayes, 386-795-0220, or Lisa Miller, 386-852-1117.
