If you’re Irish or lucky, you might have a shot at the proverbial golden pot at the end of the rainbow on St. Patrick’s Day weekend at Church of the Messiah.

Ministry member Angela Lopez announced that the Winter Garden church will hold a second BINGO event from 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 16. Cost is $20 for 15 games. Cash and raffle prizes are being offered.

Child care will be available for $5 per child, and includes a movie, popcorn and crafts.

“This weekend is our second BINGO,” Lopez said. “We are hoping to host it at least quarterly if we can get a following. We invite the community! We ask parishioners to advertise in their business and we post flyers in local shops. We have one parishioner who brings 12 friends who are frequent BINGO players around West Orange County.”

Lopez said the first BINGO drew 50 participants. The church is expecting more in March. “We’d love to hit our 250-person capacity!” Lopez said.
