The Institute for Christian Studies is pleased to announce that the first Spanish course will be available as an online-class offering soon. The first class to be offered will be Introduction to the Bible. Here is a brief description of the four-part course.

Introduction to the Bible – Spanish Language Instruction

Part 1 – The Bible: This session will act as a general introduction to the Bible. Topics covered will include: What is the Bible? How did the Bible surface? Why do we have two different Bibles?
Part 2 – The Books of the Bible / Old Testament: This session will discuss the division of the Bible into the Old and New Testaments and will introduce the student to the books of the Old Testament.
Part 3 – The Books of the Bible / New Testament: In this session, students will learn about the arrangement of the New Testament and will deepen their understanding of the Gospels, Acts, and the Pauline Epistles.
Part 4 – The Practice and Study of the Bible: This session will wrap up our study of the Bible by discussing the following: understanding the text and context of the Bible, the Bible and liturgy, and the Bible: personal and community reflection.

Introducción a la Biblia – Cursos en Español

Primera Parte – La Biblia: esta sección actuará como introducción a la Biblia. Se cubrirán los siguintes temas: ¿Qué es la Biblia? ¿Cómo la Biblia surgió? ¿Por qué tenemos dos Biblias?
Segunda Parte – Los libros de la Biblia / El Antiguo Testamento: En esta sección, se discutirá la division de la Biblia entre Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento, también introducirá al estudiante a los libros del Antiguo Testamento.
Tercera Parte – Los libros de la Biblia / El Nuevo Testamento: En esta sección. el estudiante aprenderá como el Nuevo Testamento se organizó para poder tener un mejor entendimiento de los evangelios, el libro de Los Hechos y las epístolas de el apóstol Pablo.
Cuarta Parte – La Practica y el Estudio de la Biblia: Esta sección terminnará nuestro curso en la Biblia al discutir los siguintes temas – Entendimiento del texto y contexto de la Biblia, La Biblia y la Liturgia, La Biblia como reflección personal y communal.
