The Diocese of Central Florida announced Wednesday, Sept. 26, that a Requiem Eucharist for The Right Rev. Hugo Luis Pina-Lopez will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke, 130 N. Magnolia Ave., in downtown Orlando.

Pina-Lopez died on Thursday, Sept. 20, surrounded by family. He was 79.

Clergy are invited to vest and process in white stoles. A reception will follow in the Great Hall. Clergy are asked to please RSVP  at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSem692OhYBSo0R6xcPhNMP0vkaQdL2NvyqtM7_ehkeycCdQLA/viewform as soon as possible and gather in the Great Hall to line up for procession by 1:30 p.m.

Childcare will be provided for those families in need. Attendees also are advised that limited free parking is available in the surface lot at the corner of Washington Street and Magnolia Avenue. Attendees also may park in the Regions Bank Garage on Washington Street at no charge by obtaining a validation ticket from an usher inside the Cathedral prior to the service.

Since there are other events scheduled for nearby Lake Eola on Oct. 6, attendees for Pina-Lopez’s service are asked to please allow ample time for parking.
