Rev. Dr. Sharon Lewis
The Rev. Robin Morical still remembers the painful bonds of depression and the hopelessness and despair that resulted. She longed for healing and ultimately found it through Jesus Christ.
More than 20 years later, Morical continues to use her knowledge of her own healing and the power of transformation through Christ in special healing schools. She will team with the Rev. Dr. Sharon Lewis for the next school of healing—The Rev. Dr. Sharon Lewis School of Healing Prayer Level 2 & Conference—June 1-4 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 155 Clark St., Enterprise, in Volusia County, where Robin serves as rector.
This will be the third annual Pentecost healing conference at All Saints’ Church led by Morical and Lewis since Morical became rector in 2014. The conference is open to the public. Interested persons do not need to have completed Healing School Level 1 to participate.
Teaching topics will include suffering, understanding generational healing, conception to birth, depression, healing families, healing of abortion and miscarriage, addictions and generational Eucharist.
“Many are in bondage today with negative patterns of behavior because they have not experienced the healing power of Jesus Christ,” Morical said. “The teaching will educate and give understanding to ways that many are held in bondage: ‘My people perish for lack of knowledge’ (Hos. 4:6). We have seen lives transformed and healed through this ministry.”
Morical met Lewis in 2003. Lewis, who is ordained in the Episcopal Church, is the founder of Amazing Love Healing Ministry (ALHM), which was established in 1994. Lewis served as rector at Church of the Holy Spirit in Osprey for 15 years before forming ALHM.
“The Amazing Love Healing Ministry was birthed out of her own personal need and desire for Christ’s healing and restoration,” Morical said.
Since partnering more than a decade ago, the two have made an impact around the world. Morical served with Lewis at the invitation of Bishop Julio C. Holguin on two healing missions to the clergy and spouses of the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic.
“The Diocese of the Dominican Republic has seen transformation as the clergy and spouses get healed,” Morical said. “We should be doing the greater things that Jesus said we should do in His name. Sadly, in the church in America, many are familiar (with) and often quote the Great Commission in Matthew, but rarely do we hear the Great Commission in Mark quoted:
“Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Morical and Lewis will serve together again in November in Central Florida’s partner Diocese of Honduras, ministering to the clergy and spouses there at the invitation of Bishop Lloyd Allen to Lewis and her ALHM team. The ALHM’s “The Healing Workbook, Level 1” was recently published in Spanish.
The All Saints’ rector is currently leading a Level 1 Healing School using the ALHM workbooks and DVD teaching series along with small group ministry. “We have seen much inner healing and growth,” Morical said.
Morical has taken her life experiences to the Order of St. Luke as well. As a chaplain with the Order, she formed an OSL chapter at her church two years ago. She leads a healing service at All Saints’ every Thursday morning. The rector will co-host this third School of Healing Prayer in June to raise awareness of the healing power of Jesus Christ.
The opening session runs from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Thursday, June 1. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. The conference continues Friday, June 2, and runs from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The second day of the conference, Saturday, June 3, runs from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Pentecost Sunday outdoor service begins at 10 a.m., Sunday, June 4. Lewis will be guest preacher, and an outdoor barbecue follows the service.
The cost of $155 per person includes meals on Friday and Saturday, but donations are appreciated for all meals Friday through Sunday.
