Join us for “Leading Safe Churches: People & Policies,” an important diocesan Zoom webinar introducing the Diocese of Central Florida’s updated safe church policies and providing essential training for clergy, staff, vestry members and ministry leaders.

Led by the Rev. Mike Sloan of GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment), this webinar will help participants understand why strong policies matter, what churches should expect from them and how to begin implementing them faithfully and effectively in parish life. Participants will gain practical guidance for building safer churches, strengthening healthy ministry environments and equipping leaders to serve with greater clarity and confidence.

Participants will also hear from the Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin S. Holcomb, the Rt. Rev. Lloyd Allen, the Rev. Canon Dan Smith and Safe Church Commission co-chairs the Very Rev. Audrey Sutton and Ms. Monica Taffinder as the diocese introduces key policy updates and reinforces the shared responsibility of protecting people well.

This is an important opportunity not only to learn about the updated policies, but also to deepen your church’s commitment to wise leadership, healthy accountability and the care of those entrusted to your ministry. Participants will also be introduced to diocesan resources for ongoing implementation, including a new safe church video library featuring previous training sessions. The policies will be available in English and Spanish.
