Jesus sees the Spirit of God descending like a dove

The Spirit of God: He made the world; He has control over the world.

In our reading today, the heavens are torn open and the Spirit of God comes out like a jet plane. But when the Spirit gets to Jesus, it’s like a dove.

God sometimes comes in great power, like a jet plane. At other times he comes very gently and tenderly. We need at times for God to come very powerfully and there are times when we need for God to very gentle with us.

If we are going to ask God to help us, when we are facing temptation, we need for God to approach us  with power, to break the authority that temptation has over you.
